With over ten years’ experience in graphic design, branding and photography, I work regularly for Manchester-based charity, The Message, as well as freelance for a number of great clients including small businesses and local entrepreneurs.
My documentary photography follows issues of community, social justice and women’s rights, with a particular focus on working in deprived communities with the Eden Network around the UK.
2007. BA (Hons) Visual Communication, Grays School of Art, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.
Present. MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London.
I fell in love with photography after living in the Shetland Islands, where the light is divine, before learning the ropes through assisting in wedding photography, then starting my own business as a wedding and portrait photographer.
I’m based in Manchester, which I love for its creativity, gutsy spirits and northern soul. I also love the sea, art galleries, community and beautiful typography.
